Office bearers of Ramban unit of All Jammu and Kashmir Tribal Coordination Committee (AJKTCC) on Friday demanded release of social activist Choudary Talib Hussain.
In this connection a meeting was held under the leadership of AJKTCC district president Shabir Ahmed at Tourist Cafeteria Ramban, which was attended by the office bearers of the committee and members of Gujjar and Bakerwal community.
The speakers, in the meeting, expressed concern over the alleged “highhandedness of Samba police” and demanded immediate release of Talib Husain, who has been detained on charges of rape.
They alleged, “Samba police has crossed all limits while interrogating Talib Hussain. It is a deep rooted conspiracy hatched by some politicians to muzzle Talib’s voice, who is a witness in the Kathua rape and murder case.”
They appealed to Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to intervene into the matter.
