Residential house collapses in Bhadarwah village

Family blames PMGSY authorities for mishap

A residential house collapsed here in village Diggi Panchayat at Bhadarwah on Saturday.

Although, no one was hurtin the incident, however, family blames PMGSY authorities for the mishap.

 "Our five familymembers were inside the house when it collapsed. Luckily, no one was hurt andeveryone was safely evacuated from the debris by the villagers," the affectedfamily member said.

The family members alleged that the house collapsed due tothe road construction work by PMGSY.

"Despite repeated written requests to the PMGSYauthorities to built retaining wall right beneath the house, no one took anynotice of our pleas. Due to their indifferent attitude, we have no roof on ourheads today," said Bittu Kumar, owner of the house.

When contacted Tehsildar Bhadarwah Zeeshan Tahir said thatall the family members were safely evacuated from their house and theirlivestock was also shifted to his nearby brother's house.

"A team led by NaibTehsildar has been constituted to submit a detailed report of the damage,"Tehsildar added, assuring that the family will be provided all the help fromthe administration.

Villagers demanded compensation for the poor family as soonas possible.
