Ahead of R-day, Ramban Police have beefed up security arrangements across the district.
Sources told Greater Kashmir that Home department has sent a communication asking Police to remain alert to thwart any possible militant attack.
A police officer said that checkpoints have been established at various places to keep a close vigil. “Security will be strengthened further and extra measures will be put in place to avoid any untoward incident. Armed and IRP battalions posted in the district are working in close coordination with the executive police,” the officer added.
