Five dead as tempo falls into gorge in J&K’s Ramban

Srinagar Dec 14: Five persons including four women died and at least two others were injured after the tempo they were on board fell into a deep gorge near Chuchater area of Rajgarh in J&K’s Ramban district on Tuesday, officials said.

Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat ul Islam told Greater Kashmir that four women died on the spot in the accident while the driver of the vehicle identified as Javaid Ahmad Wani succumbed at PHC Ramgarh where he was shifted for treatment.

   

The identity of the four deceased women was not immediately known. Reports said that two people were injured in the accident.

A team of officials was rushed to the spot to retrieve the bodies and shift the injured to the hospital.
