Srinagar-Jammu National Highway remains open

Ramban, Nov 12: The Srinagar- Jammu National Highway remained open for two-way traffic for light,  medium and heavy vehicles on Sunday.

Traffic officials monitoring the regulation of traffic in Ramban informed that the highway remained open. But the traffic movement remained slow due to the breakdown of a few heavy and due to single road stretches at Dalwass, Mehar-Cafeteria, Magarkote, Nachlana and at other places due to poor road surface condition between Nashri and Banihal tunnels.

   

They said hundreds of light medium and heavy vehicles have crossed the Nashri and Banihal tunnels till late this evening.

Officials at TCU, Ramban late Sunday evening said that NH-44, is open and vehicles are heading towards their respective destinations in Kashmir and Jammu in a regulated manner on the highway.
