Three injured in car accident on Highway

A Jammu bound Alto Car rolled down at Seri after it went out of control from its driver Sunday afternoon at Seri falling under Police Station Ramban.

Police said a private car bearing registration number JK05D-7087 on its way from Kupwara to Jammu plunged into deep gorge on embankment of river Chenab when it went out of control from its driver near Seri three Kilometer short of Ramban town on Jammu Srinagar National Highway resulting three occupants of Car sustained serious injuries.

Locals rescued the injured and shifted them to District Hospital Ramban for treatment.

Police identified the injured as driver Mohammad Iqbal 45 son of Mohammad Mukhtyar Khursheed Ahmed Mir 46 son of Khazar Mohammad Mir residents of Kupwara.

They said among three injured one serious person identified as Ajaz Ahmed 26 son of Mubarak Khuja resident of Kupwara referred to Bone and Joints Hospital Srinagar.

A case under relevant sections of RPC has been registered at Police Station Ramban informed police.
