Three killed, two injured in road accident near Bhadarwah

Three persons were killed and two others seriously injured after a cab they were traveling in plunged into a gorge near Pounra village of Bhadarwah in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday night.

Three  persons were killed and two others seriously injured after a cab they were traveling in plunged into a gorge near Pounra village of Bhadarwah in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday night.

The Maruti Van, which was on its way from Bhaderwah town to Manthla, met with an accident near Pounra village, 11 km from Bhaderwah at 9.30 pm as the vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge on a sharp curve. 

Local villagers immediately shifted all the five passengers to Sub-District Hospital Bhadarwah, where doctors declared three of them as brought dead.

The deceased have  been identified as forest guard Des Raj (40) S/O Churu Ram R/O Cheeka Manthala, Om Kar S/O Roop Chand Baghat R/O Cheeka Manthala, Vejinder Kumar S/O Thakar Lal R/O Cheeka Manthala.

The injured have been identified as Arun Kumar S/O Gori Dass and Rakesh Kumar S/O Jagjit Singh R/O Cheka Manthala.
