Banihal Dec 11: Police on Saturday arrested three men and recovered contraband from their possession at Nashri area of Batote in J&K’s Ramban district.
As per a police handout, the accused Vikas Ahmed son of Ashfaq Ahmed, Amjad Ali son of Mubarak Ali and Muzamil Ahmed son of Mujahid Ali-all residents of Sadiqabad Doda- were intercepted in a car bearing registration no JK06 8086 while on way from Ramban towards Doda.
During checking, 10 gms “heroin like substance” was recovered from the car, police said adding the recovery was made under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ by PSI Shiv Dutt Sharma under the close supervision of SHO Batote Ajeet Singh and Dy.S.P Hqrs Pardeep Singh Sen.
While the trio was arrested, a case FIR No 128/2021 U/S 08/21/22/29 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Batote and investigation set into motion.
