District election officer Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana visited several polling stations on Tuesday, in order to check the preparedness and other requisite arrangements made for Urban Local Body (ULB) polls, voting for which is scheduled to held on Wednesday.
The DEO also issued a notice, wherein the timing for voting for Kishwar Municipal Committee was stated to be from 6 am to 4 pm, in pursuance to the notification issued by chief electoral officer.
Further, the DEO, along with ADDC, ADC, ROs, AROs and other officers, visited ITI Kishtwar, from where the polling parties, along with election material, were dispatched. He also inspected the security arrangements and other pre-requisites related with election process.
He directed officers entrusted with different duties to remain vigilant and active, in order to ensure free, fair and smooth completion of election process.
