Vehicular traffic restored on Srinagar-Jammu highway after seven hours

Banihal June 11: Authorities on Friday restored traffic on the Srinagar-Jammu highway after seven hours after clearing the landslide that hit the road at Seri area of Ramban district.

The landslide hit the highway this morning bringing the vehicular traffic to a standstill.

   

SSP Traffic NHW, Shabir Ahmad Malik told Greater Kashmir that the traffic was restored at around 2:30 pm this afternoon.

Malik however added that at the particular spot where the landslide had occurred, a one-way traffic has been allowed for now while the work to restore the 2nd lane is going on.
