Srinagar, Apr 25: Badamwari Athletes Club (BAC) organised “Aamadai Bahar” event in the serene spring ambience of Badamwari park in Downtown.
Our endeavour is to extend our heartfelt gratitude for the divine bond that we are sharing with the nature and fellow Athletes who are working tirelessly to inspire and promote healthy lifestyle among every walk of life. We share deeply ingrained and experienced thought provoking message ‘Zoo Oar Jahan Oar’ which we have chosen as theme for this year,” BAC said in a statement.
“We are truly honored and humbled that the seasoned athletes belonging to different sports categories joined us for this noble cause. To appreciate the bounties of nature and everlasting bond of camaraderie, three km run was organised to showcase our commitment and compassion which are our humble means and ways to bring greater good in the society. Our society is already and severely plagued by the alarming drug abuse, erratic weather patterns due to pollution,deforestation,disturbed natural habitats,exploitation of natural resources for which humans are primarily responsible,” it said.
It said during the event there were deliberations on the way forward of the course of actions which will definitely bring a sense of belonging and responsibility among the stakeholders to keep the parameters of health and healthy society in check.
BAC extended gratitude to the core members of the renowned clubs of the valley namely Jammu & Kashmir Mountaineering and Adventure Club , Pathfinders ,Health care Club , Zulfkar Youth Club, Sun Shine Fitness Club, Kohi Maraan fitness Club, and North Cliff for their participation which culminated into a grand event.
