Srinagar, Jan 24: Commuters have expressed resentment over dilapidated service roads on both sides of upcoming Sanat Nagar flyover.
Commuters said amid the construction of the flyover, service roads on both sides have developed deep potholes and uneven surface. “Commuters who have to cross from Sanat Nagar to Rawalpora face risk of accidents due to even surface, especially near Rawalpora Grid Station side. The problem is compounded as not a single traffic cop has been deputed on the busy spot to regulate heavy movement of vehicles especially tippers and trucks,” a commuter Mehrajuddin said.
“We make a fervent appeal to Deputy Commissioner Srinagar to direct the concerned authorities to undertake repairs of the dilapidated roads on both sides of the under construction flyover,” they added.
