Srinagar, Apr 13: Traders of Shaher-e-Khaas have expressed resentment against the inordinate delay in the completion of Smart City projects in various areas of Downtown here.
A delegation of traders led by Chairman of Shaher-e-Khaas Traders Alliance Nazir Ahmad Shah highlighted problems faced by traders due to the slow pace of road, drainage and footpath construction in Old City to the Additional Chief Executive Officer (ACEO) Srinagar Smart City Ltd (SSCL) who reviewed ongoing works in Downtown.
“We apprised the ACEO that the slow pace of work is severely hitting the business of traders and causing inconvenience to locals and commuters in Downtown. We appealed to him to ensure the completion of pending works at the earliest for the convenience of locals, traders and commuters. He assured to look into our demand,” Shah added. On the occasion several members of the traders’ alliance including Akhter Rasool and Inayat Bhat were present.
