Government forces on Sunday launched a cordon and search operation at a village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A police official said that columns of army, police and CRPFlaunched a search operation in Kashewa village of the district.
“The operation was launched after forces receivedinputs about the presence of militants in the area,” the official said.
He said that all the entry points of the village were sealedand door to door searches conducted. The operation, however, was called off asno militant was found in the area.
