After Srinagar, the mass frisking and search operation was launched by security forces at bus stand in Tral town of Pulwama district on Tuesday.
According to eyewitnesses, army, police and CRPF columns reached the main town, laid cordon and started search operation in bus stand area.
“The forces personnel asked people to stand in queues and were frisked. Soon they started checking the vehicles. Later everyone was frisked, identity cards too were checked and vehicles were searched,” they said.
According to locals, the forces personnel stopped people and vehicles and later made many checking points where people were frisked thoroughly.
The traffic movement was stopped during the time.
Locals said that the operation created panic in the town as people were frisked after many years and people were not allowed to move during the operation.
The operation continued for about 40 minutes. However no one was arrested in the operation.
SP Awantipora, Tahir Saleem, said, “People were frisked in the town but no one was arrested during the search operation.”
