A pharmaceutical store was allegedly looted by burglars during the intervening night of Friday and Saturday in Hajinaraea of this district.
The store owner Zahid Khalil of Mir Mohalla who runs amedical agency, claimed that the burglars decamped with medicine worth Rs42,000 from the store.
Zahid said the thieves had broken in when he was attendingto his ailing wife at SKIMS in Srinagar.
He termed the burglary as "unfortunate" and said he does notknow what to be worried of more.
"I was in pursuit of arranging Rs six lakh for the heartsurgery of my wife, who is battling for her life. And then this episodehappens. I don't know what to do now," Zahid said.
Station House officer Hajin said they have not received anycomplaint about the incident.
