Physical education degree holders demand implementation of 2nd Phase of Rehber-e-Khel policy

The unemployed youth who have completed their degrees in Physical education subjects held a protest demonstration here demanding the implementation of 2nd Phase policy of the Rehber –e- Khel in the Jammu and Kashmir.

Scores of the unemployed degrees holders from various districts of the Kashmir valley assembled at press enclave under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir UT Unemployed Physical Education and Sports Association.

   

“In 2017 the government of Jammu and Kashmir has promised us that the 7311 posts of the Rehbar-e- Khel will be implemented in two phases in Jammu and Kashmir,” said Nusrat Wani, one of the unemployed Physical Education candidates from Srinagar. “In 2017, the first phase was started in which nearly 3,000 were selected as per the policy of the Rehber-e- Khel.”

The candidates said that the first phase of the Rehber-e-Khel was implemented in 2017 but three years later the 2nd phase of the policy is yet to be implemented.

“Most of the unemployed candidates are well qualified having degrees like Bachelors in Physical education, Master in Physical education, M Phil and P.hd. These candidates are waiting for more than three years for the implementation of the 2nd phase of the Rehbar-e-Khel policy,” said another candidate.

The protesting unemployed youth said that most of the degree holders are going to cross the age limit soon. If the second phase of the Rehber-e-Khel policy is not implemented soon, they will not be able to apply for the posts due to the age limit.

The protesting unemployed youth also requested the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to look into the matter for the implementation of 2nd phase of Rehber-e- Khel in Jammu and Kashmir.
