A pregnant woman here was carried on a stretcher for three kilometers to reach a health facility today after she developed labour pain.
As the road from Tujan village was blocked for three kilometers due to heavy snow, locals carried the lady on stretcher.
Locals said that the Awkaf Committee Rahmoo arranged a JCB of their own, which cleared the way. The lady was boarded in an ambulance and taken to PHC Rahmoo from where she was shifted to district hospital, Pulwama.
The R&B departmental machinery too was working in the area to clear roads.
Although snow has been lifted from most of the roads, many interior roads are still blocked.
