J&K students at Chandigarh University get 178 job offers from top brands

Srinagar, Feb 22:  Chandigarh University not only empowers students academically but also impart placement-specific training as per requirements of the job market to make them industry-ready when they complete their education here. These placement- specific and job-oriented training programmes instil required skill set that subsequently helps them land in their dream jobs with utmost ease.

Chandigarh University (CU), the top private university in India as per the QS Asia Rankings 2024, saw phenomenal placements this academic year (2023-24) with 904 reputed companies turning up with 9,124 job offers to CU students across diverse domains.

   

As per the record of Chandigarh University, out of total 1931 students from Jammu and Kashmir who are pursuing their academics in the varsity as many as 124 students landed in their dream jobs in top-notch brands of India and abroad.

While a total of 178 job offers were bagged by students of CU, 92 students secured multiple job offers from industry giants. As many as 60 girl students secured jobs in top brands.

Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chancellor, Chandigarh University, said, “With students and scholars scaling new heights in academics and research, Chandigarh University has become the most sought-after destination for blue-chip companies in recent years. Top brands like Google, Amazon, Microsoft and Mahindra among other industry giants in the MNC (Multi-National Corporation) and TNC (Transnational Corporation) sector from India and overseas come to Chandigarh University to source elite talent every year.”

Abhay Pratap Singh from Udhampur, a BE/B.Tech-CSE student, University Institute of Engineering has been hired by renowned companies like Capgemini India Pvt Ltd, DXC Technology, Accenture India, and HCL Technologies Ltd with hefty remuneration offers. Similarly, Gurprem Singh of Kunjwani got job offers from Dell Technology, Capgemini India, DXC Technology India Private Limited and Cognizant Technology. Tabia Arsh, Deepika Choudhary and Akhilesh Sharma among others bagged multiple job offers.

The academic excellence of Chandigarh University can very well be gauged from the fact that 92 students from just one state bagged multiple job offers from top- notch brands in the job market today.
