Srinagar, Apr 16: In a significant move towards inclusivity and empowerment, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Limited has announced the launch of the Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Transgender Scholarship 2024-25.
This scholarship program is aimed at supporting transgender students who are currently pursuing education in Classes 9 to 12 or pursuing any undergraduate or post graduate courses from any government or private schools or universities.
The scholarship, with a total prize of up to Rs 40,000, seeks to provide financial assistance to eligible transgender students to help them achieve their educational aspirations.
The eligibility criteria for the scholarship include being a transgender student studying in the specified classes or courses, scoring at least 50 percent marks in the previous academic year, and having an annual family income not exceeding Rs 10,00,000.
Applications for the Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Transgender Scholarship 2024-25 are open until April 30, 2024, and interested students can apply online through the designated application portal at www.b4s.in/gk/USFB1.
University of Kent offers women in leadership scholarship for Indian applicants
The University of Kent has announced the India women in leadership scholarship 2024, designed to support female applicants from India who have received a conditional offer to pursue a postgraduate course at the university.
The scholarship, offering 50 percent of the tuition fees for one year of study, aims to encourage and empower women to take on leadership roles and excel in their chosen fields of study.
“Eligible applicants must be female students from India who have received a conditional or unconditional offer for a full-time taught master’s degree programme at the University of Kent,” the document reads.
The deadline for applying for the University of Kent India Women in Leadership Scholarship 2024 has been fixed as May 24, 2024.
“Interested candidates can submit their applications online through the official application portal at www.b4s.in/gk/LPUK1,” it reads.
Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship Scheme 2024: Empowering Underprivileged Students
Another scholarship scheme, Sitaram Jindal Foundation, a renowned NGO committed to education and social welfare, has launched the Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship Scheme 2024.
The initiative aims to provide financial assistance to underprivileged students from Class 11 to the postgraduate level, enabling them to pursue various degree and diploma courses.
Under this scheme, eligible students can receive financial support of up to Rs 3,200 per month, helping them overcome financial barriers and focus on their education.
“The scholarship is open to students currently enrolled in Class 11, 12, ITI, diploma, undergraduate, or postgraduate degree programs, provided they meet the minimum percentage requirement in their previous qualifying exam,” the scholarship notification reads.
Unlike other scholarships with fixed application deadlines, Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship Scheme 2024 accepts applications round the year.
