Class 11 examination after culmination of class 10, 12 exams: JKBOSE

Srinagar, Nov 12: The J&K Board of School Education (BOSE) on Friday informed that the annual regular (2021) examination of class 11th students will commence after the culmination of class 10th and 12th examination.

As per the date sheet notified by the JK Board, the class 12th examination will culminate on December 4 while the class 10th examination will commence on November 20 and will culminate on December 6.

   

“The date sheet will be notified at due time for the students but the exam will commence after these two (class 10th and 12th) examinations,” joint secretary administration JK Board told Greater Kashmir.

Meanwhile, the Director Academic JKBOSE Dr Farooq Ahmad Peer in a notification said the class 11th students from Kashmir and winter zones of Jammu will write their annual exams at their respective schools. The notice said that both theory and practical— in Kashmir and winter zone areas of Jammu will be conducted at their respective schools without creation of separate examination centres.

“The supervisory staff for the conduct of exams will be appointed by the concerned schools themselves and the action taken in appointing them shall be confirmed with the JKBOSE later,” Dr Farooq Peer said.

He said the admit cards of the students will also be prepared by the JK Board as well.

“The confidential material, answer books and other stationary items required for the conduct of the exam will be provided by the JKBOSE as per past practice,” the notification reads. The evaluation of the answer scripts will also be done by JKBOSE, it reads. The Director Academics further stated that the procedure of deposition of question papers and sealed answer script packets at the concerned police stations and any other allied activities shall remain in vogue on the analogy of other BOSE examinations.

The Joint Secretary administration JKBOSE said setting of question papers and evaluation of answer scripts will be done by the Board. “To maintain the sanctity of the exams our inspection teams will inspect the schools during exams,” he said.
