Ist positive case in Kathua

Authorities have declared a village in Hiranagar tehsil of Kathua as hot-spot after first case of Covid19 surfaced in the area.

“We have declared village Chann-Khatrian as hot-spot,” saidDeputy Commissioner Kathua, OP Bhagat.

   

A man who had returned from Mumbai was tested positive forCovid19 yesterday. He has been shifted to the Government Medical College andHospital Jammu.

“He has returned home from Mumbai alongwith driver of thetruck who is a resident of Sirsa Bihar on April 17 to unload goods at SIDCO inSamba district,” said the DC.

“We have sealed the fertilizer factory in SIDCO Samba wherethey unloaded material on April 17,” said Station House Officer Samba, SurajPathania.

630 PEOPLE IN QUARANTINE CENTRES OF KATHUA:

“We have around 630 people in different quarantine centres.Of them, 140 from Udhampur and around 25 from Jammu will be allowed to leavefor their respective districts as they have completed mandated quarantineperiod,” DC Kathua said. He said at least 23 residents of Kashmir division haveleft for their respective districts in the Valley today.
