Srinagar, Oct 29: J&K recorded 90 fresh COVID19 cases on Friday even as the vaccination centers remained abuzz with over 68,000 doses administered today.
On Friday, 83 cases were reported from Kashmir while as 07 were from Jammu division. A total of 39678 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. The positive percentage of samples tested and reported today was 0.22.
Recoveries overtook fresh cases on Friday with 81 patients being declared to have recovered from the disease today. With these recoveries and fresh cases adjusted, the number of active cases in J&K reached 872 including 108 in Jammu division and 764 in Kashmir.
Srinagar, Baramulla and Budgam districts have been witnessing a constant high number of cases. Today, Srinagar reported 48 cases. The number of active cases in Srinagar is 449, the highest among all districts. Baramulla reported 13 new cases today, while Baramulla had 11 cases.
Meanwhile, 68169 doses of COVID19 vaccine were administered in J&K. Of these, 4114, as per the official bulletin, were the first doses while 64055 were the second doses in the 18 plus age group.
