J&K roadways get Rs 152 Cr boost

Jammu, Feb 17: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Saturday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Giriraj Singh for the approval of road infrastructure projects in Jammu Kashmir.

The Lieutenant Governor tweeted: “Grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Giriraj Singh for the approval of 12 road upgradation projects and construction of a bridge under PMGSY-III Batch-III at Rs 152 crore. The road upgradation projects will benefit hundreds of habitations in six districts of Jammu and Kashmir. The two-lane bridge for the border district of Poonch will ensure greater ease of travel and it will connect villages to prosperity and contribute to overall socio-economic development.”
