Move offices to close in Jammu on Apr 26, re-open in Srinagar on May 6

The government offices observing five-day week shall close at Jammu on April 26 (Friday) after the office hours while the offices observing six-day week shall close there on 27 April (Saturday) after the office hours, officials said Wednesday.

“All the offices shall reopen at Srinagar on May 6(Monday),” an official spokesman said in a statement.

   

According to a government order issued Wednesday, all thedepartments shall ensure that records are packed after working hours on thelast working day.

“It has been ordered that the offices moving in camp shallcarry only 33 percent of the strength of staff in that particular office or 10officials whichever is minimum or as specifically indicated,” the order read.

All departments have been asked to depute their advanceparties on 22nd April consisting of one gazetted officer and four to fivenon-gazetted employees who will receive the records at Srinagar. “Thedepartments shall ensure that boxes are properly locked and their keys reachthe advance parties at Srinagar well in time. The SSP security, civilsecretariat, will furnish a list of defaulting departments in this regard tothe general administration department,” the order read.

J&K SRTC has been asked to make available sufficientnumber of buses in good condition for transportation of Kashmir-based employeeson 27 and 28 April and Jammu-based employees on 4 and 5 May, 2019.

“No Move employee shall occupy any government/EP/municipalresidential accommodation except under proper allotment order. However, themove employees can retain the government accommodation allotted to them atJammu for bona-fide use of their families under intimation to the Estatesdepartment on approved terms and conditions,” the order read.

“The office timing on the reopening of the offices atSrinagar shall be 9.30 am to 5.30 pm in respect of Civil Secretariat and headsof department located within the Civil Secretariat premises and 10 am to 4.30pm in respect of all moving Departments located outside the Civil Secretariatand observing six days week,” the order read.
