New Delhi, March 3:  Union Home Minister Amit Shah Sunday lauded the resolute approach of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government in tackling the narco-trade menace, highlighting a significant surge in arrests and seizures as a testament to its effectiveness.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, Shah emphasised the importance of achieving a drug-free India as an invaluable legacy for future generations.

   

He underscored the establishment of a formidable nationwide anti-narcotics apparatus, attributing its success to seamless coordination, cooperation, and collaboration among various governments and agencies operating under the guidance of PM Modi.

Using the hashtag #DrugsFreeBharat, Shah conveyed that the strategy implemented had led to a noteworthy increase in both the number of drug seizures and registered cases.

“The Modi government’s unyielding stance against narco-trade has yielded tangible results, evidenced by a substantial uptick in arrests and seizures,” Shah said.

He emphasised the nation’s accelerated progress towards the goal of a drug-free India, considering it a paramount gift to the forthcoming generations.

“Our nation is swiftly moving towards this objective by detecting drugs, dismantling drug networks, and apprehending culprits, all while ensuring the rehabilitation of addicts under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi,” Shah said.
