Police on Friday detained Hilal Akbar Lone, son of National Conference Member Parliament Akbar Lone from Sumbal, Bandipora.
“He was on way to his native village in Naidkhai from Srinagar when police nabbed him at a naka set up near Naidkhai,” Hilal’s brother Bilal Lone said.
The family said Lone was detained for several hours at Sumbal police station before being shifted to MLA Hostel in Srinagar.
According to police sources, Hilal has been taken into preventive detention.
