A passenger vehicle on the way to Sheeri from Baramulla town skidded off the road due to slippery road conditions during snowfall on Saturday. However, the Beacon authorities carried out a rescue operation and evacuated all the passengers stuck inside the passenger vehicle.
As per reports, the passenger vehicle carrying several passengers was on way to Sheeri from Baramulla town when the driver of the vehicle lost control over the vehicle with the result the vehicle skidded off the road leaving several passengers trapped inside the vehicle.
Following the incident, the men from Beacon, rushed to the spot and evacuated all the passengers safely. The Beacon authorities later pressed several snow clearing machines into service.
SDM Uri escapes unhurt:
The Sub-Divisional Magistrate Uri and his escort had a miraculous escape after a huge stone rolled down from a mountain when the officer was on a visit in Boniyar area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday.
As per reports, SDM Uri, Riyaz Ahmad, along with his PSOs was on a visit to a village in Boniyar when a huge stone rolled down from a mountain. The official along with his PSOs escaped unhurt in the incident.
