Srinagar, May 24: Famous Bollywood action director Rohit Shetty and his crew have completed the schedule of shooting for his upcoming film ‘Singham Again’ in Kashmir.
One of the members of the crew said that the schedule was complete.
He said that on Friday, the director, actor, and the entire film crew returned to Mumbai.
Actor Ajay Devgn, who plays the lead role as Bajirao Singham in the movie had arrived in Kashmir last week along with actor Jackie Shroff.
Both the actors shot scenes in Srinagar before Shroff left for Mumbai.
However, Devgn continued shooting in Sonamarg and completed the schedule on Thursday.
“During the week-long schedule of shooting, the crew shot in Srinagar and Baltal area of Sonamarg. It was a happy and successful shoot,” line producer for the film Khawar Jamsheed told Greater Kashmir.
Taking to social media, the Director of the film Rohit Shetty shared a picture of Devgn in which he is seen posing as Singham, fueling excitement among the fans.
Sharing the image, Shetty wrote, “Schedule Wrap! Thank you, Kashmir.”
He also uploaded a photograph of the actor Devgn in a similar background where he is seen posing for the camera resting on the armoured vehicle.
He also added the title track of Singham in the background with the caption ‘Bajirao Singham! SSP (SOG) Special Operations Group Jammu and Kashmir Police… Singham Again… Coming Soon! #singhamagain.”
Meanwhile, Devgn expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the J&K government for its unwavering support during the shooting of the movie in Kashmir.
He thanked the authorities for their seamless cooperation, which enabled a successful and picturesque shoot in Kashmir.
“Kashmir is a breathtakingly beautiful location to film, and I wish we could return to J&K again and again,” Devgn said.
While shooting for ‘Singham Again’, he shared his ‘on duty’ avatar on social media.
“On Duty… Again,” the 55-year-old actor captioned the photo, taken during the J&K shooting schedule of ‘Singham Again’, which is set to hit theatres on August 15.
‘Singham Again’ is one of the most anticipated releases of the year and is the third instalment of Shetty’s popular cop franchise.
The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tiger Shroff, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shroff.
Arjun Kapoor will be seen essaying the villain in this entertainer.
Earlier, Shetty directed Devgn-starrer ‘Singham’ which was released in 2011, while ‘Singham Returns’ hit the silver screens in 2014.
