Jammu-Srinagar National Highway witnessed traffic jam at several places on Sunday even as the traffic was allowed from Jammu to Srinagar.
Sources said the trucks and other vehicles were stuck in the jam for hours together at several places from Nashri to Banihal. Commuters alleged mismanagement and poor traffic regulation by the traffic police. They said that heavy vehicles including trucks were being permitted from opposite side which creates mess on the highway.
They said that traffic jams and poor regulation have become a norm on the highway.
Meanwhile, a traffic official informed that there was a fresh landslide today afternoon at Moud near Udhampur on the highway due to which vehicular traffic got disrupted.
The official said that men and machinery were on job to clear the landslide.
Sources said that hundreds of vehicles were stranded on both sides at Moud.
