Srinagar April 15: The J&K government has authorised the concerned Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to take a call on closing the schools in view of the incessant rains received across Kashmir division.

The decision has been taken after the incessant rainfall triggered flood like situation and landsliding in various parts of valley.

   

Talking to Greater Kashmir, the Administrative Secretary School Education Department (SED) Piyush Singla said the decision will be taken by the concerned DCs at local level.

“All DCs have been asked to take local decisions in case they want to. Few have even closed also,” Singla told Greater Kashmir.
