Udhampur, Apr 12: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Friday struck the right chord with the enthusiastic crowd in his signature style by first initiating his address in Dogri, exchanging greetings and raising religious slogans as well.
Once the momentum was built, he recalled his five-decade long association with J&K. In the discourse,
figured his Ekta Yatra of 1992, when, he said, their mission was to unfurl tricolour at Lal Chowk.
Even while winding up his address, he maintained direct rapport with the audience as he requested them to visit Shri Mata Vaishnodevi shrine on his behalf and pay his obeisance there. “I could not visit there though I wished to. Will you do it for me,” he asked the audience and received a response in affirmation.
“Please do another task for me. Will you, please? Will you visit every home in Udhampur to pay my regards, my Pranam and Jai Mata Di on my behalf?” he asked and the response was enthusiastic yet again.
