Security forces recover arms, ammunition near LoC in Uri

Police and army recovered a cache of arms and ammunition in Dulanja village along the Line of Control (LoC) in this border town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, the army said on Thursday during a press conference at Uri Brigade.

An army official said 2 Rifles (Pak Origin), 2 Pistols (Pak Origin), 4 Magazines (M16 Rifle) and 4 Magazines (Pistols) were recovered during a search operation in the village.

   

“We had received inputs from the J&K Police regarding the presence of a cache of small arms in general area Dulanja following which a search operation was launched at 0525hours on 10th September 2020,” the official said.
