9 CPIOs appointed to dispose of RTI Act applications

Jammu, Mar 12: The government has appointed nine Central Public Information Officers (CPIOs) in the General Administration Department (GAD) and in the office of the Chief Secretary, J&K, to dispose of the applications under RTI Act, 2005.

These officers also included seven Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers.

   

“In supersession of all previous orders issued on the subject and in pursuance of Section 5(1) of Right to Information Act, 2005, it is hereby ordered that these officers of the General Administration Department shall dispose of the applications under Right to Information Act, 2005 related to different sections,” read an order issued by GAD Commissioner Secretary Sanjeev Verma.

As per order, Akshay Rajan, JKAS, Deputy Secretary has been appointed as CPIO of the Services (JKAS), including Common Pool HoDs section; Kritika Raina, JKAS, Under Secretary will be CPIO of AlS/Coordination section and Irfan Manzoor, JKAS, Under Secretary will dispose of RTI Act cases related to Monitoring Section and SRO-43.

Roopali Arora, JKAS, Under Secretary as CPIO will dispose of RTI Act applications related to PSGA/IT initiatives of GAD including e-office section; Shakeeb Arsallan, JKAS, Under Secretary will be CPIO of Administration Section, Establishment, Services (Administrative Officers and Private Secretaries) and Supinder Kour, JKAS, Under Secretary as CPIO dispose of RTI applications of Junior Scale JKAS, Under Secretaries and SKIMS section.

Rahul Sharma, JKAS, Under Secretary will be the CPIO of Cabinet/RAS Office of the Chief Secretary, J&K; Javeed Nazir, Assistant Legal Remembrance will dispose of RTI Act applications related to Legal Section and Kumar Ji Raina, Assistant Accounts Officer will be CPIO of Accounts Section and Planning Section.
