Day 1 Pulse Polio immunisation program | 45,000 children administered polio soses in Doda district

Jammu, Mar 4: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh spearheaded a significant inauguration of the Pulse Polio immunization program the other day at the OPD Associate Hospital, Government Medical College Doda (GMC). The event coincided with the celebration of National Pulse Polio Day.

Warmly welcomed by the CMO Doda, alongside medical professionals and representatives from the Medical Health Department, the Deputy Commissioner administered pulse polio drops to numerous children during the event.

   

It was disclosed that about 45,000 children below five years of age received pulse polio doses across the district, facilitated by 507 pulse polio immunization booths. A significant turnout of people, accompanied by their infant, actively participated in receiving pulse polio dose.

The Deputy Commissioner urged the public to maximize their participation in the pulse polio centers. The presence of key officials such as the CMO, District Immunization Officer, Doctors, and representatives from the Medical Health Department underscored the collaborative effort towards achieving cent percent polio eradication goals.
