Super Specialty Hospital (SSH), Jammu, today organized a free medical camp for media persons.
Over 150 journalists from print and electronic media were screened by the team of doctors comprising Dr. S K Bali, Head of the Department (HoD) Nephrology, SSH, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Romesh Gupta, Dr. Surinder Sodhi, with assistance from paramedics and other staff members of the hospital.
Dr. SK Bali, said that stress and anxiety among media persons is very common due to their busy schedule and long sittings.
"Stress and anxiety is the mother of most of the diseases. So, we decided to screen the media persons so that they can start early treatment in case they have developed any complication", Dr. Bali said.
The hospital administration offered 40 vital tests including Sugar, Lipid Profile Test, BP, X-Ray, Ultra Sound, Thyroid test, Cholesterol Test and others free of cost.
Applauding the initiative of SSH administration, media persons appealed to the Medical Superintendent to organise similar camps in future also.
Romesh Gupta assured that the hospital administration will try its level best to organize such camps on regualar basis.
