Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) today launched its website www.doctorsassociationkashmir.com at a function in SMHS hospital here.
Speaking on the occasion, President DAK Dr Nisar ul Hassan said the website would allow people to access detailed health information with ease.
"The site will inform, educate and empower people about health issues and develop initiatives to address them. It has a special feature of "patient Area" that would offer
answers to the queries of patients and reduce their trips to hospitals. Providing help to patients is the simple principle guiding this venture," he added.
"The site has a unique feature of "online chat" that would enable patients to seek health related advice in the comfort and convenience of their homes.
"There is also a "Doctors Area" that would allow medical professionals to submit their research papers and publications.
"We all need to work together to reinvent the age-old bond between doctors and patients that will rebuild trust which is so essential for patient satisfaction and adherence to treatment," Dr Nisar said in the statement.
