Alleged absence of staff of sub-centre Jumgund here triggered protest following which health authorities ordered an inquiry into the matter.
Locals of Jumgund alleged that the staff of sub centre Jumgund was absent from their duties and showed photographs of recovery of medicines containing iron tablets and folic acid tablets scattered on Chowkibal-Jumgund road.
BMO Trehgam Dr. Nisar Ahmad said “we are inquiring into the matter.” “On checking the invoices of drugs supply, it was found that medicines recovered from roadsides at Jumgund was not of Health department. We have sought an explanation from three staffers of sub centre Jumgund who were found absent from the sub centre,” BMO said.
