Boukvat help centre inaugurated at Soura

Boukvat a help group for downtrodden chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients opened its health centre at Soura here to streamline its functioning.

The inagural function was attended by Prof G H Malik ex headof Nephrology SKIMS, Dr K Banday, Dr Ashraf, Dr Amin Sumbli, Dr Masood. 

   

On the occassion, columnist Ajaz ul Haq lauded the effortsof the group for such an endeavour. Dr Muzafar Wani and Dr Imtiyaz Wani briefedthe audience about the functioning of the organization. Dr Shahida Mirencouraged for further expanding the reach to more patients.

The organisers said ‘Boukvat’ is help group started by agroup of concerned practicing medical professionals. “‘Boukvat’ is fullydevoted to helping poor patients suffering from kidney ailments The objectiveof ‘Boukvat’ is to support patients suffering from kidney illness, by bearingpart of the cost of dialysis and transplant medication who belong to lowersocioeconomic strata. This is reimbursed to the centre where that particularpatient is being dialysed or to the distributor from whom the transplantedpatient gets the medicine. In this endeavour many deserving patients have beenhelped so far,” Dr Muzaffar added.
