DAK (S) holds crucial meeting in Kupwara

Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) led by Dr Suhail Naik, held an important meeting at Kupwara in which various issues pertaining to doctors of Kupwara and Handwara in particular and Kashmir in general were discussed, a DAK (S) spokesman said. “All the issues pertaining to the transfer policy was again discussed thread bare for which file has already been submitted to the Secretariat and will be followed up,” Dr Naik said.

 “Maternity services need to be upgraded both in infrastructure and manpower which will help in reducing the referrals to tertiary care hospitals.

   

Furthermore security of the hospitals all over Kashmir needs to be enhanced which will give a sense of safety to the doctors as there has been incidents of violence off and on,” he added. “The issues of National Health Mission(NHM) employees were also discussed as many have been terminated recently by the government which is unjustified as their families are suffering and due to their absence patients too are suffering,” Dr Naik added.
