District Jail, in collaboration with Narcotics Control Bureau Ministry of Home Affairs, organized an awareness programme on ‘International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking’ to educate the jail inmates about the harmful effects of consuming drugs.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Director General of Police (Prisons Department) Dilbagh Singh.
Nukkad nataks and skits were performed by the NCB team on the menace of drug abuse and illicit trafficking.
The jail inmates appreciated the efforts of the DGP Prisons for organizing such an awareness programme.
Dinesh Sharma, Sr Superintendent District Jail, KP Tiwari, Superintendent Narcotics Control Bureau, C S Rathore, Intelligence Officer NCB, and Medical Officer District Jail were also present on the occasion.
