The ongoing protest of Jammu Kashmir Female Multipurpose Health Workers (JKFMPHWs) entered in its 22nd day, here on Monday.
On this day of the strike, the protesters assembled at Directorate of Health Services (DHS), Jammu, and raised slogans against government for not fulfilling their long pending demands including permanent solution of salary head 2211, release of pending salaries, delinking the CSS salary from the funding sources (Corpus-delinking), release of pending salary since March 2018, fixation of job functions of FMPHWs at par with other working categories of Health Sector, up gradation of the post of FMPHW on the analogy of Pharmacist, Lab Tech X-Ray Tech, Dental Tech and Ophth Tech
The striking employees were also demanded creation of post of LHVs in new PHCs, publication of seniority list of FMPHWs in the official website of the health department for bringing transparency in promotions.
The speakers made a fervent appeal to the Governor to intervene into the matter and resolve permanently the issue of salary of employees under head 2211.
Neelam Kumari, Surya Akhter, Sapna, Urmil Devi, Mamta Devi, Sunita Devi,. Jagjeet Kour, Nirmal Kour, Gayatri Devi, Varinder Kour, Jagbir Kour, Manjeet kour, Pooja Devi ,Shashi bala, Kamlesh, Jeevan Jyoti, Anchal Devi, Kamla devi, Soma Devi, Pushpa Devi, Rani, R P Singh and Anoop Singh also took part in the protest
