Major relief to patients, SHA approves 90 unspecified cases

Srinagar, Nov 6: In a major relief to patients, State Health Agency (SHA) J&K Saturday approved 90 unspecified cases like pacemaker implantation, endovascular treatment, CRTD to the beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat – PradhanMantri Jan ArogyaYojana.

An official spokesman in a statement issued here said that the decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) SHA, Yasin Muhammad Choudhary.

   

The decision of extending these unspecified cases was taken after SHA received these cases from empanelled healthcare providers related to various specialities.

As per the guidelines of unspecified cases issued by NHA, the Medical Committee has the discretion to decide on these cases.

To bring more efficiency in the operation of the scheme for the greater good of the patients of J&K, SHA would launch new Health Benefits Packages 2.2 with the revised rate of 409 packages.

CEO SHA also stressed suggestions from all stakeholders for the incorporation of newer therapies and medicines for the treatment of cancer patients which were not incorporated earlier.

The committee also suggested allowing clubbing of surgical medical packages in the Transaction Management System (TMS).

Choudhary asked the members to submit a detailed report for clubbing medical and surgical packages for onward submission to the NHA.

The CEO SHA also sought suggestions from all the members regarding the inclusion of High-end Antibiotics and lifesaving drugs like immunoglobulins, and Albumin.

Highlighting the importance of the scheme for the people of J&K, Choudhary asked all the members to ensure its success for the maximum benefit of the people of J&K.
