Rajouri registers fourth COVID-19 death

A 70-year-old man became the fourth person in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir to die of COVID-19, officials said today.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Sher Singh said that the 70-year-old man, hailing from ward 4 of Rajouri town, was admitted in GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri on Tuesday where he tested positive for Coronavirus.

   

He was suffering from other body ailments, said Singh.

“The man died in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday at around 1 am in the hospital, he added.

He informed that last rites and burial of the deceased shall be conducted as per laid down SOPs.
