The Youth National Congress today castigated the state government and health ministry for worsening health services in Pir Panchal region.
"They are making hollow promises on strengthening health sector in Pir Panjal region. The concerned minister and officers should act to meet public needs rather than installing hoardings on roadsides" YNC provincial president Ajaz Jan said in statement.
He said that during his tour to several border villages of Mandi block of Poonch he found thousands of human population is living without bare minimum health care service.
"In all these areas, lack of health service is the major cause of cry for public and they have been left on the mercy of God " Jan said.
Condition of all the major hospitals of Poonch district, including SDHs and DH Poonch is deteriorating with each passing day and people are suffering a lot, Jan added.
He also said the situation is no different in Rajouri district where health ministry has even failed to appoint Medical Superintendent for the District Hospital. Similarly the condition of peripheral hospitals including Kotranka, Manjakote, Budhal and Kalakote is turning from bad to worse, he alleged further.
" We can see a number of hoardings of Health Minister on roadside which is nothing but a publicity stunt " Jan said adding that under present government health sector is deteriorating with each day.
