Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik has strongly condemned the "unwanted and ugly campaign of Indian ruling regime and biased media" against famous Islamic scholar Dr Zakir Naik.
He termed it as witch hunt to suppress Muslims and Islamic institutions in India.
Malik said that turning a preacher's decades-long peaceful sermons and teachings as doubtful on the pretext that someone liked him or his speeches is "ridiculous and Indian biased anti-Muslim media and rulers by starting this witch hunt have actually crossed every limit of decency and humanity."
"Before any investigations, Indian home ministry and information minister have termed Dr Naik's speeches as controversial, which is a clear sign of the anti-Muslim mindset of Indian ruling regime," said Malik.
He said that vicious campaign against a peaceful Muslim scholar is actually vindicating our point of view that Muslims in India are no longer safe and secured.
"Muslims of Jammu Kashmir stand with Doctor Zakir Naik and Indian Muslims in this hour of need and strongly condemn Indian rulers and media campaign against doctor Naik," asserted Malik.
