Senior Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar Wednesday said that New Delhi needs to initiate a dialogue process with people of Kashmir.
"We'll have to initiate dialogue process with ppl of Kashmir… not just Kashmir but Kashmiris are ours," Aiyar was quoted as saying by News agency ANI.
Aiyar said that there was a need to understand that its not enough to just have Kashmir, "we have to ensure Kashmiris are ours."
The Congress veteran leader criticised New Delhi for not initiating any dialogue.
"You don't talk to Pakistan, don't speak with disgruntled in Kashmir? Who will you talk to? Gaurakshaks?" he said.
He also said that despite Kargil episode, Musharraf became president and started a composite dialogue with the then prime minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
