13 political activists join JKAP

At least 13 political activists including two former zonal Presidents of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and General Secretary, National Students Union of India (NSUI) on Thursday joined Jammu Kashmir Apni Party here, in presence of the party President Altaf Bukhari.

A spokesman said the new entrants to JKAP includedNasir-ud-Din Wani (zonal President PDP, Ramnagar, Udhampur), Ajit Sharma (zonalPresident, PDP Udhampur), Yasir Choudhary, General Secretary (NSUI Kathua),Haji Bashir Ahmad, Noor Alam, Ishaq Khan, Khan Muhammad, Muhammad Ashraf, Nazirahmad – all from Ramnagar, Rajeev Thakur, Moti Lal Khajuria and Krishan Sharma– all from Udhampur.

   

These prominent socio-political activists were welcomed byBukhari into the party fold at his residence in Gandhinagar, said thespokesperson.

The new entries expressed their desire to use theirinfluence and personal potential for a positive change in their respectiveareas through the party. “JKAP provides an effective and viable platform torender our services for public good in our respective areas. The partyleadership and its political ideology is a blend of experience and conviction.His (Bukhari) performance during his tenure as the minister has inspired us forour joining his party,” said the entrants.

Welcoming the move, Bukhari said the political activists whojoined the party shall strengthen political platform by their hard work,dedication and commitment towards public good.

“I am hopeful that your potential will be utilized by theparty for public good in Udhampur and Kathua districts. We have to go a longway and you all are requested to work very hard to address the problems andsufferings of people in your respective areas,” said the JKAP President.
