Communist Party of India (CPI) Marxist, state secretary, M Y Tarigami today sought an end to exploitative systems terming them as a hurdle to human emancipation.
After inaugurating a delegate session of the party's Jammu region here on Monday, Tarigami said: "Human emancipation is not possible unless exploitative system is put an end to. Pro-rich and pro-corporate economic policies followed in most of the countries has made the life of the general masses miserable and helped the rich and corporate houses to earn and amass huge wealth at the cast of the poor and destitute people".
As per a statement, the 8th Regional Conference of CPI (M) Jammu was presided over by a presidium consisting of Sham Prasad Kesar, Om Prakash, and Kishor Kumar.
Tarigami said it was imperative for the poor and working class to unitedly fight the menace of the regressive economic policies to get rid of the awkward situation they are finding themselves in.
While throwing light on the national scenario, he condemned efforts of the "Sangh Parivar to divide the society on the name of religion by raising the issues of hatred which is bound to have negative impact on the unity of the nation".
"People of the country are dismayed over the performance of the Modi government for last 9 months as nothing on ground has changed despite getting votes on the slogan 'Ache din'. People continue to face unemployment, price rise, shortage of essential commodities, power cuts, retardation in industrial growth and lack of facilities in agriculture sector".
He said that the restoration of Article 370 to its original position with regional and sub-regional autonomy within that frame work is of paramount importance and in the best interest of the people of J&K which will lead to the unity in three distinct regions of the state.
