The Rastriya Janata Dal (RJD) state unit has urged the NC and Congress to not raise hue and cry over release of separatist leader Masrat Alam, terming it as part of normal judicial process.
In a statement, RJP state President Syed Gh Nabi Forah said that the formation of BJP and PDP coalition government was a movement of hope and expectations for the people of the state.
"They (BJP, NC, Congress) are blaming the Chief Minister for the release of Masrat Alam without knowing the fact that coalition government had done no favour to him as his release was a part of normal judicial process. He was booked under (PSA) Public Safety Act and was granted bail by the court. It was duty of government to respect the court orders", he said.
"BJP leaders should keep in mind that Mufti Mohd Syed has taken a huge risk by aligning with BJP to form coalition government in the state. Being a part of PDP & BJP coalition it is duty of BJP leadership to maintain communal harmony and peace in the trouble state and not divide the peace living citizens on communal lines".
Forah warned BJP leadership to not create political controversy with PDP and respect the mandate of both regions.
